About
Kimberley (Kimmie) Halwas
B.A., CACE, CMR
As Founder, Career Coach & Consultant of Infinity Career & Development Consulting, I have over 15 years of combined coaching, consulting and training experience within specialties including career counseling, employment / retirement coaching, and essential workforce skills through in person and virtual formats. With family roots in agriculture, I recognize the values of commitment, personal integrity and succession planning.
With recognition that my lifework is to inspire and empower others in their life and work goals, in 2018 I embraced my practice of mindfulness and decided that NOW was the most important moment – and rather than waiting for the “right time,” or until I retired, that I had been given a chance to “rewire” my career path – and launch Infinity. I model my philosophy of career development as a culmination of my own personal experiences and that of the individuals whom I have coached and inspired. With over 3500 coaching hours, working with individuals from 15 years of age to individuals with 75 years of life experience, I have been cited as spontaneously genuine in ensuring that people know they matter. Committed to continuous learning, since graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg in 2007, highlights of my professional development have included:
APT Diploma for Working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Association for Psychological Therapies, 2021
Retirement Options Certificate through Retirement Options in 2019;
Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education at University of Manitoba in 2016;
Certificate in Rehabilitation Case Management at University of Manitoba in 2016;
True Colors Facilitator Certification through True Colors International in 2014;
Motivational Interviewing Level 1 and Advanced, presented by Roxanne Sawatzky in 2012 & 2013;
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through University of Winnipeg in 2012;
Beyond Traditional Job Development, presented by Denise Bissonnette in 2012;
Career Employment Coach Certificate through University of Winnipeg in 2010.

In addition, I honour a daily meditation practice and actively engage in continuous professional development through attendance at conferences, including Cannexus and Let’s Get to Work. As a member of the Manitoba Association of Career Development and Career Professionals of Canada, I embrace opportunities to remain current with industry trends. I actively pursue the “gig economy” through various contracts, and during the last two years I have honed my passion for facilitation by teaming up with Denise Bissonnette in delivering training to employment professionals throughout North America based on Denise’s books Beyond Traditional Job Development, Cultivating True Livelihood, and 30 Ways to Shine as a New Employee.
If you are acting like a sheep, do not blame the shepherd. You cannot herd lions. Wake up and roar, and you are free.
